into Julia

Nadat ik voor de zoveelste keer de film 'Julie en Julia' had bekeken met dochter A, besloot ik om meer van Julia Child te willen weten. Daarom snel via Amazon allerlei boeken besteld, zelfs haar kookboek (terwijl ik eigenlijk niet zo'n' koken uit kookboeken'-type ben). Als moederdagcadeau kwam dit hele pakket goed van pas.
Tot nu toe heb ik alleen 'My life in France' gelezen en het was smullen. Zoals Meryl Streep Julia speelde in de film komt ze ook uit het boek naar voren.
En op een dag ga ik ook echt koken uit Julia's meesterwerk (maar niet een heel jaar en alle recepten!).

After watching the movie 'Julie and Julia' for the x'th time with daughter A, I decided that I wanted to know more about Julia Child. So therefore I ordered some books from Amazon, even her cookbook (although actually I'm not the kind of 'cooking from a cookbook' kind of type). As a mothersday gift this package was very appropriate.

Till now I've only read 'My life in France' and it was a real treat. The way Meryl Streep played Julia in the movie, that's how she comes across in the book.

And one day I will cook something from Julia's masterpiece (but not every day and not every recipe!).
